The new and improved Draft Nuggets

With the Super Bowl less than a week away we wanted to talk a little about the new and improved Draft Nuggets. When we first got going with the site back in January 2008 we didn’t really give much consideration to an editorial calendar.

However, as our database has grown and evolved we’ve come up with story lines and information we plan on sharing in the pre and post draft off season, as well as during the regular and post seasons.

Our new navigation scheme includes our Front Page, which is mostly static content like draft order for the upcoming draft and the standard draft pick value chart. We have also organized our content so that you can easily view published posts related to your favorite team or division.

Lastly, to make things easier to find we’ve broken things down into two main categories: Features and Back Pages. Here’s a quick look at the things we plan on talking about:

When we first started this blog we were running a feature called Around the Draft in 82 Days because there were 82 days between the Super Bowl and the 2008 Draft. This time around will be modifying this feature to profile teams, rather than players. Therefore, on February 15th we will be launching the Around the Draft feature starting in the AFC East with the Buffalo Bills.

We think that all the new stuff we have planned should be very interesting. We look forward to bringing you draft insights mined (almost) daily.
